For as long as I can remember, I have always been drawn to photography. So, after becoming a mother, and wanting a career that allowed me to still be present with my babies, I decided to jump all in and Kate Roenker Photographs was born. I can honestly say I have never held a job more rewarding than this one. I truly find so much joy in preserving my clients memories. From newborn sessions in your home, to engagement shoots on the beach, I pour myself into each individual photoshoot making sure you walk away with photographs you'll cherish for a a lifetime.
My approach is rooted in observation and trust. I keep things simple for my clients, creating an experience that feels easy and unforced from start to finish. I take time to understand the people I'm photographing, then step back and allow moments to unfold naturally. I guide when it's helpful, but I don't try to control the energy - especially with kids. The movement, noise, and unpredictability are often where the magic lives. I'm drawn to that beautiful chaos that makes each story honest and true.
